Behind the scenes: Explosion to appear in upcoming ‘Sleepy Hollow’ episode

WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) -

Crews with Sleepy Hollow started their Wednesday morning off with a bang...literally.

According to film permits, the building used for the scene was located on North 4th Street between Campbell and Brunswick Streets.

Crews used a gas-powered explosion to emit a huge fireball from inside the building.

Crews also filmed scenes on a yacht on the Cape Fear River Monday.

This happened near the near Le Catalan on the Riverwalk. In the scene, two characters meet and make a deal on a yacht, according to film permits.

Sleepy Hollow is currently filming its second season in Hollywood East.

New episodes start airing on FOX Wilmington on September 22.
