MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - Looking to celebrate Independence Day holiday with fireworks or a festival? Check out these events going on across the Grand Strand and Pee Dee.

The 2014 Salute to the Shore flyover returns for the fifth year and will be passing over the Myrtle Beach area shores on Independence Day. Vintage aircraft will be flying along South Carolina's coast in a patriotic salute to the men and women of the Armed Forces.  Here are the expected fly-by times.
 
1:00 p.m. – Cherry Grove Pier
1:02 p.m. – North Myrtle Beach
1:05 p.m. – Apache Pier
1:07 p.m. – 14th Avenue Pier
1:09 p.m. – Springmaid Pier
1:12 p.m. – Surfside Pier
1:16 p.m. – Murrells Inlet Jetty
1:18 p.m. – Litchfield Beach
1:19 p.m. – Pawleys Island

AYNOR

-Come and join the Town of Aynor on Saturday, July 5 at Aynor Park for fireworks at approximately 9:11 p.m.

CONWAY

-The 2014 Alive After 5 Series was scheduled for Thursday, July 3 in Downtown Conway, but the event is now canceled due to Tropical Storm Arthur. The next event is scheduled for next Thursday instead.

DARLINGTON COUNTY

-The first-ever Independence Day event at Darlington Raceway is free to the public. Activities include a Kids Zone, Classic Car Cruise-In and a 20 minute firework show at the end of the evening. Country-rock stars Outshyne will be headlining and the John Curtis Lewis Band will be opening the event. The Darlington Raceway is located at 1301 Harry Byrd Highway, Darlington SC and can be reached by calling (843) 395-8900

-The city pool also will be open during its regular hours, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday, weather permitting.

FLORENCE

-Drs. Bruce and Lee Foundation Library will be offering Fine Arts Friday for children in grades kindergarten through third grade. Beginning 3:30 p.m. Friday, July 4 at 509 South Dargan Street, children will be working with a variety of art forms. Registration is limited. -Cain's Bar-B-Que will host a bluegrass event on Independence Day from 6:30 - 8:30pm. For more information please call (843) 662-8991. Cain's is located at 1502 Pamplico Highway in Florence.

GEORGETOWN

-This year will be the Indigo Choral Society's 18th annual concert on the lawn of the Kaminski House Museum. Bring your lawn chairs, blankets and picnic baskets to celebrate with the Indigo Choral Society on 7 p.m. Friday, July 4 at 1003 Front Street. MARION

-The 2014 Marion County Annual Independence Day Celebration is hosted by the City of Mullins at the Smith Haven Park on July 4 from 4 – 10 p.m. featuring their signature event, the Barbeque Competition. For more information visit www.scbarbeque.com

MYRTLE BEACH

-Thursday, July 3 - Independence Day Celebration at the Ticketreturn.com Field at the Pelicans Ballpark. Fireworks with begin after the game.

-Friday, July 4 at 2 p.m. - Croissant's 3rd Annual Cupcake Eating Contest

-The Market Common is having a Golf Cart Parade at 6 p.m. around the retail district during their Independence Day event, "Family 4th at The Common." -Friday, July 4 at 10 p.m. - Fireworks at Second Avenue Pier

-Friday, July 4 at 10 p.m. - Broadway at the Beach's Independence Day Fireworks Extravaganza

-The Kangaroo Express Salute Our Troops campaign has been postponed until Saturday, July 12 due to the approaching Tropical Storm Arthur.

- Brightwater will celebrate Independence Day with the Festive Brass, Boy Scout Troop 856, Combat Veteran's Motorcycle Association, First United Methodist Church Ringers and more. There will be the singing of the Star Spangled Banner and a veteran's pinning ceremony. The event will take place on July 4, at 9:50 a.m. at the Brightwater Retirement Community at 101 Brightwater Drive, in Myrtle Beach.

MURRELLS INLET

-Friday, July 4 – The 31st Annual Murrells Inlet 4th of July Boat Parade & Fireworks Display. Fireworks begin at 10 p.m.

NORTH MYRTLE BEACH

-Friday, July 4 at 10:15 p.m. – Fireworks at Barefoot Landing.

-9:30 p.m. – Fireworks at Cherry Grove Fishing Pier in North Myrtle Beach

SURFSIDE BEACH

The 4th of July Celebration will be held on Friday, July 4th, 2013 from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. at the Pier.
