UPDATE: Bond now up to $3 million for man charged with sex crimes in Brunswick County

BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WECT) -

Authorities in Brunswick County have added an additional 63 charges against a man from Wake County accused of sex crimes against a child.

According to warrants, Frank Welsh Richmond III, 36, of Wake Forest was arrested by authorities and charged with indecent liberties with a child and statutory rape/sex offense against a child that was younger than 16 years old at the time of the incident.

Wednesday, authorities added to those initial charges with 21 charges of statutory rape of a person who is 13, 14, 15 years old by a defendant who is at least six years older than the victim, 21 charges of statutory sexual offense against a person who is 13, 14, 15 years old by a defendant who is at least six years older than the victim and 21 charges of indecent liberties.

The alleged incidents happened between June and July of 2013.  

Richmond's bond has been doubled to $3 million.
