MONCKS CORNER, SC (WCSC) - The mother of a young man who has special needs is making a plea for the return of a stolen golf cart.

Twenty-eight-year-old Jack O'Neill cannot drive a car and rides the golf cart in his Moncks Corner neighborhood.

His mom, Laurie O'Neill, says someone stole the cart from a shed behind their house late Saturday night or early Sunday morning. The cart is marked 'Jack's Cart' on the front plate.

Laurie O'Neill just wants the thief to return it to her son.

"This is his life, it's not for me, it's not or his dad, it's for him. This is his golf cart, nobody else's. He's the one who used it," O'Neill said.

O'Neill says she has checked area pawn shops for the stolen golf cart.

Anyone with information should call Crime Stoppers at (843) 554-1111.
