Goose Creek fire rips through Westminster Blvd. home

. - People who live in a house on the 100 block of Westminster Blvd. say they are thankful to be alive after an early morning blaze ripped through, and destroyed, half of their home. No one was injured in the fire.

Fire crews with the Goose Creek Fire Department and the city of Goose Creek got to the scene Tuesday at 2:45 a.m. Assistant Fire Chief Bob Maibach says it took about 10 minutes to put out the blaze.

Three people live in the home and were able to escaped. After the fire was put out, crews brought the residents inside to assess the damage.

They came out saying, "it's completely destroyed."

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
