Police: WV man may have disappeared in Georgetown Co.

MURRELLS INLET, SC (WCSC) -

Police in Barboursville, West Virginia, are asking Georgetown County residents to be on the lookout for a man missing since June 30.

Robert Pettit, 54, lives in Barboursville, but police say he was last seen on July 7 at the Rite Aid on Inlet Square Drive in Murrell's Inlet. Police think he may still be in the area.

Police say his family is very concerned about his welfare because he may be confused and suffering from dementia.

Pettit is five feet, four inches tall, weighs 180 pounds and has a dark beard and dark hair. He drives a dark blue 2001 Chevy S-10 pickup truck with West Virginia license plate 8MR266.

Anyone with information about Pettit's whereabouts or who thinks they may have seen him in the area should call Det. Greg Lucas at the Barboursville Police Department in West Virginia at (304) 736-5203, ext. 121.
