Mt. Pleasant police say an Awendaw man has been arrested after repeatedly attempting to enter occupied homes in a Mt. Pleasant neighborhood.

Corwin Alston, 35, was arrested Wednesday and charged with peeping tom second offense, burglary first degree, and burglary second degree. He was also served with a warrant for failing to register as a sex offender.

Police say Alston's arrest is in connection with a series of attempted entries into occupied residences in the Charleston National neighborhood.

He is being held at the Charleston County Detention Center.
