Beaufort deputies release surveillance photos in Bluffton bank robbery

BLUFFTON, SC (WCSC) - Beaufort Sheriff's deputies released surveillance photos taken of a man they say held up a bank in Bluffton on Monday afternoon.

Deputies say the man entered the TD Bank on Fording Island Road at approximately 1:30 p.m., placed a paper bag on the counter and demanded cash. The man told tellers he had a gun, but never brandished it, deputies say.

After stealing an undisclosed amount of cash, the suspect fled the area. No customers were inside the bank at the time of the robbery and no employees were injured, deputies say.
