Police name suspect in N. Charleston armed robbery

NORTH CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - North Charleston police have identified one of two suspects allegedly involved in a Saturday afternoon armed robbery that sent one man to the hospital with a gunshot wound.

Police responded to an apartment at Chicora Place on Norwood Street around 12:20 p.m. for reports of an armed robbery. Officers arrived to find one victim suffering from a gunshot wound to the leg, along with a second victim who also robbed, according to an incident report.

Officials say one shell casing was found outside the victim's apartment front door, while two other casings were discovered just inside the front door. There was also blood on door frame, and in the doorway.

The report states there may have been a third victim who was also robbed, but fled the scene before police arrived.

The victims told police they were robbed by two suspects, with one of the suspects being identified as 39-year-old Terrance Jones.

Police say arrests warrants have been issued for Jones for armed robbery and possession of a firearm during the commission of a violent crime.
