CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - For the past few weeks, 5 Around Town has been offering up lunch spot ideas for folks who are on the go and want to try something new. This week, we are turning it over to the viewers.
Live 5 viewers have been sharing some of their favorite lunchtime locations throughout the Lowcountry. From café and gourmet fare to burgers and Southern food, it is easy to see Charleston knows good eats.
While some of the lunch destinations on this list may take a bit longer than a 30 minute lunch break may allow, they are all well worth taking some extra time away from the office to enjoy.

1) Angel Oak Restaurant
Location: 3669 Savannah Highway
What to expect: Of all the locations suggested, this one was at the top of the list. Angel Oak Restaurant is all about Southern cuisine with flair, and their lunchtime menu keeps the cost in check. If you can sneak away for an extended lunch break, give them a go.
2) Foodies Cafe & Catering
Location: 1729 Sam Rittenberg Boulevard
What to expect: Foodies recently opened up show in West Ashley, and has been slinging budget-friendly gourmet food made with locally-sourced ingredients ever since. Foodies offers a huge mix of delicious salads and sandwiches, along with tacos and pizzas.

1) Dell'z Deli
Location: 1A Cannon Street
What to expect: Dell'z has just what you need for a quick, healthy lunch. The menu is jam-packed with wraps and pitas all made fresh to order.
2) Persimmon Cafe
Location: 226 Calhoun Street
What to expect: Another quick lunch option, Persimmon is dishing out gourmet soups, sandwiches and paninis. After you slam down your sandwich, get fancy with their hand spun frozen custards.

1) Okra Grill
Location: 302 Coleman Boulevard
What to expect: In our Mt. Pleasant 5 Around Town, we went heavy on Highway 17 spots. This time, viewers have led us to Coleman Boulevard. Live 5 viewers sing the praises of Okra Grill's high quality Southern food and seafood dishes. Their lunch menu is both vast and affordable.
2) Papa Zuzus
Location: 426 W Coleman Boulevard
What to expect: Papa Zuzus is not messing around when it comes to Mediterranean-inspired dishes. The restaurant prides itself on serving dishes made with authentic Greek ingredients mixed with fresh local produce. Papa Zuzus also offers meals for vegetarians and vegans.

1) Pug's Tavern
Location: 109 Holiday Drive
What to expect: You want burgers? Pug's has your burgers...along with wings, hot dogs, sandwiches, wraps...you get the picture.
2) Charleston Bakery and Deli
Location: 10597 Dorchester Road
What to expect: Charleston Bakery and Deli has made Summerville its home following a stint in West Ashley. This Jewish deli has it all, including Coney dogs ready to be topped with a tasty assortment of ingredients, quiches and tomato pies, beef tongue, and sandwiches for days.

Location: 1956A Maybank Highway
What to expect: Zia Taqueria is the perfect spot for folks on James Island to get their Mexican food fix. Zia has it all, from authentic Mexican to Southwestern and Tex-Mex eats, and all at a great price.
2) Workmen's Cafe
Location: 1837 N. Grimball Road
What to expect: Southern, comfort food done right. Workmen's menu is packed with greasy, homestyle goodness, including fried chicken, pork chops, and all the fixins made just like momma used to make em.
