Teenagers, juveniles charged for Cane Bay vehicle break-ins

Investigators have arrested three teenagers and two juveniles in connection to several vehicle break-ins at a Summerville neighborhood.

The Berkeley County Sheriff's Office arrested 18-year-old Tyler Silence of Summerville, 17-year-old Lawrence Frangos Jr. of Moncks Corner and 19-year-old William Countee of Moncks Corner.

All three teens were charged with first-degree burglary and multiple break-ins.

Authorities also arrested two juveniles one of whom was transported to the Department of Juvenile Justice in Columbia, while the other booked and released to a parent. Both juveniles were charged with misprision of a felony and false information to police.

Dan Moon with the sheriff's office says the five suspects were arrested on July 18 for thefts from vehicles in the Cane Bay subdivision.

A report states one of the suspects was seen standing next to a vehicle he had just broken into. Authorities say the suspect had items stolen from the vehicle.

The suspect was arrested, and through further investigation, four additional suspects were arrested.

Silence is currently out on bond, while Frangos and Countee are locked up at the Hill Finklea Detention Center.
