MONCKS CORNER, SC (WCSC) - A Moncks Corner man surrendered to authorities in connection to sexual conduct with a minor.
SC Attorney General Alan Wilson said 66-year-old Kenneth Raymond Crismond turned himself in to authorities on Tuesday and was charged with one count of attempted dissemination of obscene material to a minor.
Crismond's charges stems from an incident on November 2013 when an undercover Charleston police officer contacted an individual who had placed an online ad indicating he wanted to commit a sexual act on himself "for a young lady" through the internet.
Court records state that a detective on the case adopted a persona of a girl and despite telling Crismond multiple times that "she" was a minor, Crismond proceeded to expose himself during two video conferences.
The Berkeley County Sheriff's Office served a search warrant at Crismond's home on Monday where computer equipment was seized.
