HILTON HEAD ISLAND, SC (WCSC) - Beaufort County deputies are investigating nearly two dozen reports of shots fired and malicious injury to property from what they believe is a BB-type gun.
Deputies say between July 10 and July 25, they have received 22 reports of such damage involving both businesses and vehicles. The incidents are occurring on a daily basis and generally appear to be happening between 7 p.m. and 8 a.m., deputies say.
Northern Hilton Head Island is the most affected area, deputies say.
