Sheriff's office bust chop shop in Georgetown County

GEORGETOWN COUNTY, SC (WCSC) -

Deputies with the Georgetown County Sheriff's Office have arrested two people after investigators found several stolen vehicles at a chop shop Friday morning.

Authorities charged 25-year-old Diamonda Teaira Fann of Georgetown and 41-year-old Tremayne Raymond McKenith of Conway with three counts of receiving stolen goods and operating a motor vehicle chop shop.

At 9:30 a.m., the sheriff's office executed a search warrant at a home on Harold Drive in the Sampit community.

Investigators reported finding several confirmed stolen vehicles at the residence including a golf cart, a four wheeler and a motorcycle.

According to the sheriff's office, investigators are continuing to work the scene and more items are expected to be recovered.

Both of the suspects were locked up at the Georgetown County Detention Center.
