Surveillance pictures released of North Charleston bank robbery suspect

NORTH CHARLESTON (WCSC) - Investigators have released surveillance pictures of a man wanted for an armed robbery at a bank in North Charleston on Thursday.

Shortly before noon, officers responded to the Cres Com Bank at Dorchester Road and Appian Way in reference to a bank robbery.

Employees said that a black male over 6-feet in height, slim build, wearing black pants, a green hooded sweatshirt and a towel covering his head entered the bank and approached the counter.

A police report states that the suspect displayed a gun in his waist band and threw a bag to the teller stating "give him the money."

Once he obtained the money, the suspect fled the bank.

The suspect was spotted fleeing in to a nearby wood line area.
