GEORGETOWN COUNTY, SC (WCSC) - Officials with the Georgetown County Sheriff's Office say a 31-year-old man wanted in connection with a home invasion has surrendered to authorities.
Investigators say Louis Dean Heyward, Jr. of Georgetown turned himself over to the sheriff's office on Monday.
Heyward, Jr., is charged with one count each of burglary first degree, criminal sexual conduct first degree, kidnapping, and assault and battery first degree.
Authorities say the suspect entered a home on Haven Drive in the Green Acres community at around 9 p.m. on July 30.
The suspect pushed a victim in the home to the floor where a struggle ensued, according to a report. The suspect then released the victim and fled out the rear door.
