NORTH CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - A Charleston teen's first time playing the lottery paid off big time.
Lottery officials say the 19-year-old woman won $200,000 off a scratch off ticket purchased at Sunfly Convenience Store on Durant Avenue in North Charleston.
According to a release, the teen was in line to buy a bag of chips when she saw a guy scratching a lottery ticket. She decided to buy her first lottery ticket, the Money Maker game, and began screaming when she saw she won the top prize.
The lucky winner says she plans on getting a new car, a manicure and pedicure, dinner with friends, and of course, another lottery ticket.
"It was just a good day," the teen said.
Sunfly Convenience Store received a commission of $2,000 for selling the winning ticket.
