WEST ASHLEY, SC (WCSC) - A portion of the intersection of Savannah Highway and Bees Ferry Road was closed Friday afternoon, Charleston County authorities announced, citing flooding concerns.
All traffic on northbound and southbound Savannah Highway turning onto Bees Ferry Road will be detoured.
Also, a portion of Old Charleston Highway between Savannah Highway and Main Road is also closed, officials say.
The road closures were directed by the state Department of Transportation, which will also determine when the roads will be reopened.
Motorists traveling from Bees Ferry Road turning onto Savannah Highway are permitted to do so at this time.
