GOOSE CREEK, SC (WCSC) - Goose Creek police investigated an armed robbery Friday afternoon at the St. James Road Rite Aid Pharmacy, according to police spokesman Capt. John Grainger.
Police responded to the pharmacy at approximately 2:05 p.m. and say staff members told them a man approached the pharmacy counter, revealed a pistol in his waistband and demanded a particular controlled substance.
The substance was placed in a shopping bag and handed to the man, who police say never removed the gun from his waistband, and he fled the store, police say. Witnesses told police he got into a green vehicle that was waiting in front of the store.
Police say the suspect is a white male with "843" tattooed to his neck and tattoos on both forearms.
No one was injured in the robbery, according to the report.
The investigation is ongoing.
