James Island leaders to be sworn in Monday

JAMES ISLAND, SC (WCSC) - The town of James Island will swear in its new leaders Monday following last week's election.

The swearing in ceremony will be held at Town Hall on Camp Road at 6 p.m.

Incumbent Bill Woolsey beat out attorney Trent Kernodle in the July 29 election. He was previously elected mayor of the town in 2010, and served on the town council from 2002-2004.

The four council member seats have been filled by Leonard Blank, Garrett Milliken, Darren Mullinax, and Joshua Stokes.
