CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - A former banker has been sentenced to 10 years in federal prison in connection to a murder-for-hire plot.
The sentencing took place Tuesday morning for Chris Latham who was convicted in a plot to have his ex-wife murdered.
Chris Latham was found guilty on February 26 of using interstate commerce facilities in the commission of murder-for-hire in a plot to kill his ex-wife, Nancy Cannon, in April 2013.
Latham's former girlfriend Wendy Moore was also convicted in the scheme. She is facing four counts and will be sentenced Wednesday.
The plot was foiled when co-defendant Aaron Wilkinson, the hired hitman, confessed to Charleston Police during a traffic stop.
