DORCHESTER COUNTY, SC (WCSC) - A judge sentenced a 41-year-old man who pleaded guilty to five counts of first-degree burglary in Dorchester County.
William Henry Strickland, IV, pleaded guilty Thursday and received a sentence of 35 years on each of the charges concurrent, according to First Circuit Senior Asst. Solicitor Donald Sorenson.
A concurrent sentence means all five of the 35 year sentences would be served over the same span of time, not back-to-back.
Dorchester deputies investigated the burglaries which occurred over a month-long period dating back to April and May, 2013, court records state. Strickland had three prior convictions for second-degree burglary, according to a release from the solicitor's office.
Strickland Strickland's trial was scheduled to begin next week, Sorenson said.
