2 Etowah Co. women charged with chemical endangerment of a child

ETOWAH COUNTY, AL (WBRC) -

Etowah County authorities say two women admitted to using drugs while expecting a child.

The Etowah County Sheriff's Office says 31-year-old Krystle Peppers is pregnant and admitted to using drugs after she was arrested for theft by Attalla Police.

She tested positive for amphetamines.

Cierra Blackwood, 19, is also pregnant and was arrested for theft. Authorities say Blackwood tested positive for amphetamines and meth.

Both women have been sent to receive treatment from the Aletheia House in Birmingham.
