MOUNT PLEASANT, SC (WCSC) - A Mount Pleasant woman said her daughter was trying to do the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge Tuesday afternoon but was interrupted when she heard a big splash.
The mother said her daughter then snapped a pic in their backyard in Rivertowne of an alligator with a soccer ball in its mouth.
Dorothy Matteo says the alligator then let go of the ball and crawled off to a neighbor's yard.
Matteo says the gator eventually moved to a nearby lake.
In case you haven't seen all of the social media posts, people are dumping ice buckets over their heads to raise awareness about ALS or Lou Gehrig's disease.
