CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - Wednesday night, the Charleston Board of Architectural Review voted to defer plans for a three-story hotel at 115 Calhoun Street.
The new 46-room hotel would replace an open parking lot in the area now.
Neighbors at the meeting complained it would block their views, and preservation societies said the new building is only a few feet away from a historic home.
The plan isn't totally dead, though.
The architect can now revise their plans to be looked at again by the board
