Wando's Pegram Commits To Wofford

MT. PLEASANT, SC (WCSC) - Wando Center Matt Pegram has committed to play basketball at Wofford he announced on Twitter Sunday morning. 

"Can't wait to be a terrier" Pegram wrote. 

The 6'10, 240 lb Pegram is one of the best prospects in the Lowcountry for the upcoming season. As a junior he averaged 12 points, 11 rebounds and 3 blocks per game helping lead the Warriors to the AAAA state championship. 

"He's one of the most competitive players I've ever been around and he thrives on doing the little things right" Wando head coach David Eaton said. "He's not just a big body, he's a leader a great scorer as well. He's a winner and a great man on and off the court"

Eaton said Pegram also had offers from Charleston Southern, Appalachian State and Georgia Southern among others.
