(CNN) - Trayvon Martin's mother wrote an open letter to the parents of Michael Brown.

Brown was the 18-year-old fatally shot by a police officer in Ferguson, MO on August 9.

Sybrina Fulton’s letter was published in Time Magazine, and on its website.

In it, Fulton wrote that she wishes she had a word of automatic comfort, but she doesn't.

"I found my support through my faith, my family, and my friends, and I keep holding on to them because I know they've been there,” Fulton said. “They're still there, and that's all I have. All I have is my faith. "

She wrote the Browns will hear character assassinations about Michael, and she's certain they already have.

She ended her letter with a fiery call to action, writing, "if they refuse to hear us, we will make them feel us."

Fulton's son Trayvon Martin was fatally shot by neighborhood watch volunteer George Zimmerman in February 2012.

Zimmerman claimed he acted in self-defense, and was found not guilty of second-degree murder.
