Neighbors: Shots fired after altercation, no one injured

CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - Reports of multiple shots fired on Ashton Street may have been the result of an argument between several men, according to neighbors in the area.

Officers responded to the area Monday at around 6 p.m. to a report of multiple shots fired. Police collected eight 9mm shell casings in the road, but found no evidence that people or property had been hit, the incident report states.

A resident who lived nearby told police she did not witness the incident, but had heard secondhand that an altercation had occurred in the area between several men.

Neighbors told police that several men wearing all black clothing were seen running from the area immediately after the shots were fired and one neighbor reported seeing a man firing a handgun down the street, and called the shooter "Mr. Razor," the report states.

Police were not able to recover any footage of the incident from immediate cameras in the area, the report states.
