HANAHAN, SC (WCSC) - Two people are behind bars after a police investigation into a truck blocking a roadway led to the discovery of a meth lab.
The Hananah Police Department charged 52-year-old Mark Lee Willhof and 29-year-old Samantha Lee Hemmer-Leibold with disposal of waste from production of methamphetamine and manufacturing meth.
On Friday morning, police located a pickup truck partially blocking the roadway on Melvin Drive and Allison Avenue.
Officers then found items in the vehicle consistent with a methamphetamine lab.
According to Hanahan PD officials, the lab was not active, however raw product was located inside items from the lab.
Both of the suspects were locked up at the Berkeley County Detention Center.
