A veteran of the stage and screen, Sandra Ellis Lafferty will be the keynote speaker at the 2014 StoryConnect Conference set for Sept. 15-17 in Chattanooga, Tennessee.

Utility professionals from several states will gather in Chattanooga next month to gain new ideas in the field of communications. As a bonus, they will also be inspired by the storytelling of actress Sandra Ellis Lafferty, whose movie credits include The Hunger Games, Prisoners and Walk The Line.
The 2014 StoryConnect Conference is set for Sept. 15-17 in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Lafferty will close out the event as keynote speaker on the final day.
I've had the pleasure of seeing Sandra Lafferty conduct a small workshop, perform in a stage production and, of course, play memorable characters alongside the biggest names in Hollywood, says Stephen V. Smith, founder and president of WordSouth. The presentation she has prepared for our conference will bring together her years of performing, and remind us all that there is power in the stories of everyday people.
Lafferty is a veteran of the stage and screen. She began her career as a theatre actress in Colorado and later started her Hollywood career with the film Dogfight. She has portrayed engaging characters in a number of movies, working with the likes of Jennifer Lawrence, Reese Witherspoon, Joaquin Phoenix, Jake Gyllenhaal and Dennis Haysbert. In recent months, she has filmed with Ryan Reynolds and Robert Redford for upcoming movies.
At StoryConnect, Sandra will inspire attendees with stories of the characters she has played on the silver screen. She will also share scenes from her award-winning one-woman stage production An Ordinary Woman, which tells the story of a rural pioneer woman.
