Six suspected drug dealers behind bars following Charleston PD operation

CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - Six suspected drug dealers were arrested following a Charleston Police Department operation last week.

CPD officials say the arrests stems from a narcotics investigation on America and South streets. According to police, the operation was developed as a result of information gathered by the Team I CAT Team from citizens regarding narcotic activity.

Investigators arrested the following people:

Montay Harley, 25, of North Charleston charged with three counts of distribution of heroin. His bond was set at$750,000.

Delano McPherson, 26, of North Charleston charged with three counts of distribution of cocaine base. His bond was set at $300,000.

Joshua Smalls, 19, of downtown Charleston charged with one count of distribution of cocaine base. His bond was set at $250,000.

Davonte Reid, 19, of North Charleston charged with one count of distribution of cocaine base. His bond was set at $250,000.

Brian Wilson, 24, of downtown Charleston is charged with one count of distribution of cocaine base. His bond was set at $250,000.

Antonio Murphy, 23, of downtown Charleston is charged with one count of distribution of cocaine base. His bond was set at $150,000.

Police are continuing the investigation.
