CHARLESTON COUNTY, SC (WCSC) - The Charleston County Sheriff's Office is searching for three people in connection with a Thursday night armed robbery at a convenience store.

Deputies responded at around 11:45 p.m. to the store at the A1 Food Mart on Dorchester Road where the owner said he had been robbed and hit on the head with a handgun, the incident report states.

Investigators say EMS transported the victim to MUSC for treatment.

A North Charleston Police K-9 unit also responded to attempt to track the subjects, the report states.

The investigation is continuing.
