CCSD: Two West Ashley High School students charged for BB pistol

WEST ASHLEY, SC (WCSC) - Officials with the Charleston County School District say two West Ashley High School students were charged by Charleston police on Friday for a BB pistol that was found on campus.

According to CCSD officials, a 16-year-old male is being charged with carrying a weapon on school property, and a 16-year-old female is being charged with carrying a concealed weapon on school property and disturbing school.

Officials say the students were found in possession of a Colt Air BB pistol.

A release by the school district states that both of the teens were taken to the Department of Juvenile Justice, and CCSD is handling disciplinary matters.
