CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - Investigators say a James Island man wanted for pointing a gun at a man during an argument was taken into custody on Thursday.
The Charleston County Sheriff's Office arrested Steven R. Ladson on charges of pointing a firearm and third-degree assault and battery.
On Sept. 19, authorities responded to a home on Ben Road for a disturbance involving a gun.
The victim said the incident began when he was in a hearted argument with Ladson. During the argument, the victim said Ladson went into a bedroom and returned with a gun.
According to the victim, Ladson pointed the gun in the victim's direction and told him to "keep his name out of his mouth." The victim and a witness said Ladson then left the residence.
Ladson was always wanted for an incident that happened on May 16 at the Honeyhill community.
An affidavit states Ladson approached the victim along a roadway and began to shout at the victim that he had been talking badly about his relatives.
After the victim said he had not been talking about Ladson's relatives, Ladson punched the victim in the face causing him to fall to the ground and bleed from his mouth.
