Man gets 30 years for Berkeley County murder, armed robbery

BERKELEY COUNTY, SC (WCSC) - A man was sentenced on Monday to 30 years for the shooting death of a 31-year-old man.

Officials with the Ninth Judicial Solicitor's Office say Patrick Kinloch pleaded guilty to murder and armed robbery for the 2012 death of Robert Moultrie.

Kinloch received 30 years for each count which will be served concurrently.

The Berkeley County Sheriff's Office says on Sept. 9, 2012, Kinloch and Joshua Pruitt conspired to rob Moultrie, then shot and killed him on Charity Church Road in Huger.

Two days later, Moutltrie's body was found at a location along Brick Church Road, about four miles away from the original crime scene.

Investigators also charged Jason Kinloch and Christopher Tiller for the shooting.

Murder charges are still pending for Jason Kinloch, Tiller and Pruitt.
