Porter-Gaud 35,  Heathwood Hall 20 - The Cyclones improve to 4-3 (2-2 in SCISA AAA) with the victory. Kris Johnson threw for 156 yards and two touchdowns and added 88 yards and another score on the ground.

Stratford 21, Summerville 9 (Live 5 Game of the Week) - The Knights (4-2) have won three straight in their rivalry series with the Green Wave (4-3). Xavier Young ran for two touchdowns for Stratford, including an 84-yard score in the third quarter to put his team in front for good. Jamison Mobbs added a touchdown run the Knights; Chris Felder found the endzone for Summerville, which has lost three of its last four games.

Goose Creek 38, Ashley Ridge 7 - Tyrik Johnson ran for 202 yards and two touchdowns on 28 carries to help lead the Gators (5-1) to a convincing win over the Swamp Foxes (4-3). Goose Creek quarterback Dominique Jefferson ran for a 34-yard touchdown, and was 7-13 passing for 100 yards and two more TD's. DeAndre Daniels had two interceptions for the Gators, who have now won five in a row. Ashley Ridge has lost three straight.

Wando 56, Bluffton 20 - The Warriors (4-2) dominated the Bobcats (3-4).

Fort Dorchester 20, West Ashley 6 - The Patriots improved to 6-1 on the season, while the Wildcats fell to 2-4.

Colleton County 38, South Aiken 7 - The Cougars (4-3) are above .500 for the first time since the 2007 season.

Berkeley 27, Beaufort 21 - The Stags (2-4, 1-0) opened Region 8-AAA play with a win on the road; the Eagles are 3-3, 0-1.

Hanahan 21, Hilton Head 10 - The Seahawks scored the first touchdown of the game, but the Hawks (3-3, 1-0 in Region 8-AAA) took control after the first quarter.

Orangeburg-Wilkinson 52, Stall 0 - The Warriors (1-5, 0-1 in Region 8-AAA) couldn't do much against the undefeated Bruins.

Timberland 38, Kingstree 0 - The Wolves (6-0, 1-0 in Region 7-AA) keep rolling.

Whale Branch 28, Bishop England 6 - The Battling Bishops (the defending champs of Region 6-AA) fell on the road in their league opener; they are still winless on the season at 0-6.

Academic Magnet 27, North Charleston 20 - The Raptors (5-1, 1-0 in Region 6-AA) extended their program-record winning streak to five by edging the Cougars (2-4, 0-1).

Garrett 43, Battery Creek 40 - The Falcons outscored the Dolphins on the road to improve to 5-1, 1-0 in Region 6-AA.

Woodland 20, Edisto 6 - The Wolverines (3-4, 1-0 in Region 5-AA) took care of business on the road.

St. John's 28, Baptist Hill 12 - The Islanders (3-3, 1-0 in Region 6-A) pulled away from their main rivals in the second half; Taiwan Green ran for 100 yards and also had two sacks on defense to help keep the Bobcats (0-6, 0-1) winless in 2014.

Cross 67, Burke 13 - Trojans (3-3, 1-0 in Region 6-A) took over after the Bulldogs (0-6, 0-1) made it 16-13 in the second quarter on Xzyavier Henry's kickoff return for a touchdown. Burke has now lost 23 in a row overall.

Military Magnet 20, Lincoln 14 - Michael Richardson for a 63-yard touchdown in the Eagles' home win over the Yellow Jackets (2-4, 0-1 in Region 6-A). Military Magnet is 3-3, 1-0.



SCISA

Pinewood Prep 10, Augusta Christian 7 - The Panthers (4-3, 2-2 in SCISA AAA) held the Lions to just 78 yards of total offense on the road. Pinewood Prep has four wins for the first time since the 2009 season.

Northwood Academy 41, St. Andrew's 0 - The Chargers' (6-0, 2-0 in SCISA 2-AA) perfect season continues with a shutout in Savannah.

Bethesda Academy 70, First Baptist 8 - The Hurricanes (0-6, 0-2 in SCISA 2-AA) lose big on the road.


Hilton Head Christian 37, Palmetto Christian 12 -  The Eagles from Mount Pleasant fall to 0-6, 0-1 in SCISA 2-AA)

Hilton Head Prep 26, Colleton Prep 22 - The War Hawks (4-2, 1-1 in SCISA 2-A) couldn't hold on to a 14-0 lead in the first half.
