SOUTH CAROLINA (WCSC) - South Carolina Attorney General Alan Wilson announced Tuesday the arrest of Daniel Joseph Koebler of Mount Pleasant.
Officials say the Mount Pleasant Police Department received a referral from investigators at the Berkeley County Sheriff's Office that images depicting children engaged in sexual activity had been disseminated from an account traced to Koebler's residence. Officials say Koebler admitted to downloading the child pornography, and was arrested.
Koebler is charged with four counts of Sexual Exploitation of a Minor second degree, a felony offense punishable by up to ten years in prison on each county.
Koebler was also charged with Manufacturing Marijuana.
The case will be prosecuted by the Attorney General's Office.
