CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - A man under house arrest on charges of a sex crime against a child is back behind bars after being hit with a new charge.
According to authorities, 41-year-old Scott Cascone was living in another state when Charleston police filed the latest charge.
Cascone was living in New Jersey.
He turned himself in and went before a bond judge on Thursday. Cascone is charged with sexual exploitation of a minor first-degree.
Back in March, Cascone was charged with criminal sexual conduct with a minor under the age of 11. Charleston police say both charges are from the same case.
According to court records, on Sept. 23, 2013, authorities found an image on Cascone's iPhone depicting a young girl in a sex act. Investigators say they also seized Cascone's computer.
After his first arrest, a judge allowed Cascone to be under house arrest in New Jersey. Now with this new charge, he is back behind bars in Charleston County.
On Thursday, a magistrate denied bond for Cascone on the sexual exploitation of a minor charge.
