JAMES ISLAND, SC (WCSC) - Charleston County deputies say a 19-year-old was wounded in a shooting incident at 1300-block of Fort Johnson Road on James Island Monday afternoon.
The victim, a male, was transported to MUSC. Authorities say the victim was shot in the stomach and is expected to survive.
Witnesses told deputies two men were seen leaving the scene in a silver vehicle, but more detailed descriptions were not available, according to Charleston County Sheriff's Lt. C. W. Brokaw.
Dispatchers confirmed the emergency call came in at approximately 3:57 p.m.
