CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - The condition of a woman hit and run victim who was struck by a driver in downtown Charleston has worsened, an MUSC spokeswoman said Tuesday.
The condition of the victim, 44 year old Sharline James was downgraded from serious to critical.
James was struck while crossing the intersection of King and Simons Streets on Sept. 19.
Charleston Police found the Dodge Challenger that hit the woman a few days later.
However, almost a month after the incident, investigators still have not identified a suspect.
Police won't say how or where the car was found because it may harm the investigation, according to a spokesman.
Anyone with information should call Charleston Police or Crime Stoppers at (843) 554-1111.
