CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) - Cadets from The Citadel and school kids from the Charleston area will be competing in the city's annual Bocce (BAH'-chee') invitational tournament.
About 200 students from the Charleston County School District participate in the tournament being held on Wednesday.
Students and special needs students are paired up as teams for the tournament. Bocce, an Italian game that organizers say is one of the most popular in the world, is a Special Olympics event.
Along with city staff and volunteers, about 30 cadets help run the tournament as part of Citadel Leadership Day, during which cadets perform community service projects.
