James Island Connector reopens following overturned vehicle

CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - Charleston police say one person was taken to MUSC after a vehicle overturned on the James Island Connector Friday morning.

Police say the accident occurred on the Connector heading towards downtown Charleston just before Lockwood Drive around 8:42 a.m.

The overturned vehicle blocked both lanes of traffic, resulting in major delays. The vehicle has since been towed away, and traffic is moving.

No word at this time on the driver's condition.
