CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) -

Charleston police say they have arrested two brothers in connection with the October 7 armed robbery of a West Ashley gas station.

Ulysses Grate, 26, and Denel Grate, 28, have both been charged with two counts of armed robbery, two counts of kidnapping, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a violent crime.

Police say the North Charleston residents entered BP Kangaroo gas station on Ashley River Road around 2:45 a.m. and forced employees to the ground at gunpoint. The two then stole packs of cigarettes and money from the cash registers before fleeing the scene.

No one was injured during the armed robbery.

The two brothers are being held at the Charleston County Detention Center.
