CADIZ, KY (WCSC) - A Louisiana horse veterinarian who was found murdered along with her parents at a home in Kentucky was an intern for a clinic in Summerville.
Officials at the Shambley Equine Clinic say Dr. Emily Champion worked at the clinic as an intern for one year several years ago.
Co-workers described Champion as a caring individual.
Champion and the bodies of her parents, 62-year-old Boyd Lindsey Champion and 60-year-old Joy Allen Champion, were found shot to death at her parent's home in Cadiz, Kentucky Sunday morning.
Authorities also found the body of 22-year-old Vito Riservato, who police say is accused of shooting the family and himself.
According to WSMV, 36-year-old Ryan Champion survived the shooting; he and his sister, Emily, were in town Sunday visiting their parents.
