Burglary suspect sought after evading deputies at construction site

Deputies with the Georgetown County Sheriff's Office say they are looking for a burglary suspect who managed to elude investigators at a construction site.

The sheriff's office is looking for 49-year-old Tracy Anthony Woodbury of Georgetown.

At 12:30 p.m. on Monday, deputies responding to a burglary in the Kensington community saw a man matching the suspect's description traveling south on North Fraser Street riding a moped.

Investigators say deputies attempted to stop the suspect but he was able to evade law enforcement by driving through a narrow gate at a construction site.

Deputies were able to gain entry onto the construction site and found the moped abandoned.

The suspect was identified as Tracy Woodbury who investigators describe as a black male with brown eyes, bald head, 5'08”, and 170 pounds.

Woodbury is wanted for one count of second-degree burglary and one count of failure to stop for a blue light.

Anyone with any information is asked to contact the Georgetown County Sheriff's Office at (843) 546-5101.
