Most wanted fugitive arrested

CHARLESTON COUNTY, SC (WCSC) - A Most wanted Lowcountry fugitive was arrested Friday afternoon, according to jail records.

Police say Leo Singleton, Jr., hit a man with  a wooden board on Oct. 8, causing a gash in the victim's forehead. The victim told police the incident began when he was sitting in the front yard of a Sequoia Street home with friends. The victim said Singleton walked from his residence nearby and began making verbal threats and accusing the victim of having a relationship with Singleton's girlfriend.

When the victim walked toward the street to talk to the offender to figure the issue out, Singleton hit him in the forehead near the left temple, the police report states.

Officials with the Charleston Police Department say the 44-year-old was charged with assault and battery second degree and was being held on $10,000 bond.
