CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - A 20-year-old Charleston man is accused of distributing obscene material to a minor in Nevada.
The Charleston County Sheriff's Office arrested Jose Carlos Strobel on Oct. 31.
Investigators say Strobel communicated electronically with a minor victim in Nevada, exchanging sexually explicit photos and messages through social media.
According to authorities, Strobel discussed meeting in person with the victim, and he confessed to communicating with other minors online and receiving photographs of them.
Strobel is charged with criminal solicitation of a minor, first-degree criminal sexual conduct with a minor and dissemination of obscene material to a minor.
Numerous electronic devices were seized for forensic examination, according to investigators.
The case will be prosecuted by the Attorney General's Office.
