LADSON, SC (WCSC) - The Coastal Carolina Fair experienced their busiest day so far this season. Tuesday, gates opened two hours early in anticipation for a larger crowd. Many kids across the Lowcountry had the day off, while their schools served as polling places for elections.
Some parents braved two lines. First, at the polls to get their vote in and then at the fair.
After a chilly weekend, many fair goers said this was the perfect, sunny day for a visit.
One family said while they love the food and the rides, they also like giving the fair their business.
Part of the fair's proceeds go to local non profit organizations.
Don't miss your chance to check it out, the fair runs through Sunday.
