Traffic getting back to normal after multiple accidents Wednesday afternoon

NORTH CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) -

Traffic is getting back to normal Wednesday night after multiple traffic accidents caused some delays in the Lowcountry. 

In North Charleston, an accident on the Don Holt Bridge near mile marker 21 in the eastbound lanes had travel times from West Ashley to Mount Pleasant as high as 52 minutes, according to Live 5 Traffic Tracker. Travel from Mount Pleasant to West Ashley was an estimated 33 minutes.

No injuries were reported in the accident, authorities say. 

The South Carolina Highway Patrol also reported an accident on Maybank Highway in Charleston County near Riverland Drive. No injuries were reported in that accident, either.

Multiple incidents slowed traffic on I-26 as well. There was a report of debris in the roadway in the eastbound lane near mile marker 205 and reports of collisions in the westbound lanes near mile markers 212 and 213.

Another accident in Berkeley County affected traffic on Highway 52 near Terren Farm Circle. Injuries were reported in that accident, but the extent of the injuries is not clear.

In Dorchester County, motorists were delayed by a crash on Bacons Bridge Road near Edisto Drive. No injuries were reported in that accident.
