Coast Guard rescues four after boat capsizes

CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - Four people are back on dry land after their boat capsized off of Morris Island Saturday.

The Coast Guard says two boaters were rescued by crews and two others swam to a nearby island after their boat got caught in the surf and


Officials say the incident happened around 3:30 p.m. 

Crews say all four people were wearing life jackets. 

Officials say all four men were transported to Tolliver City Marina where local EMS was standing by.

One of men rescued by the Coast Guard reported being stung by a stingray and was attended to by EMS.

Officials say everyone is safe, no injuries reported.
